Our Story
G-Tech's journey began in the final year of our studies at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. During our Research Methods course, our lecturer assigned us to groups of three for a research project. Arriving late to class, we were grouped together as a team of four instead. This serendipitous grouping would become the foundation of our future company.
Our research topic focused on the adoption of electric vehicles in Kenya, specifically exploring the integration of IoT technology into electric charging infrastructure. This project opened our eyes to the immense potential of technology to solve real-world problems.
As we delved deeper into our research, one of our team members secured a contract to develop an app called ‘Doc & I.‘ This healthcare application was successfully implemented in Nakuru County, Kenya, marking our first collaborative success. Inspired by this achievement and the seamless way we worked together, we formalized our partnership and established G-Tech, committed to creating innovative software solutions that make a difference.
