Our Story
G-tech’s journey began in the final year of our studies at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. During our Research Methods course, our lecturer assigned us to groups of three for a research project. Arriving late to class, we were grouped together as a team of four instead. This serendipitous grouping would become the foundation of our future company.
Our research topic focused on the adoption of electric vehicles in Kenya, specifically exploring the integration of IoT technology into electric charging infrastructure.
As we delved into this project, one of our team members had a contract of developing an app called Doc & I. This app was successfully implemented in Nakuru County, Kenya marking our first collaborative success. Inspired by this achievement, we formalized our partnership and established G-tech, committed to working together to create innovative software solutions.
